1. Download appropriate course material on the NIMS downloads page depending on which course you are taking. Due to the size of the documents it will be beneficial to download these documents to your computer rather than accessing them via the website each time you are working on the course. Complete download instructions are available on the downloads page. |
|
2. Download the post-test for the course you are taking. |
|
3. Progress through the course manual at a pace that is comfortable for you. The answers to the questions on the post-test are generally in the same order in which they appear in the manual, so I have found it helpful to complete the test as I work through the manual rather than completing them at the end of the course. |
| 4. After you have completed the post-test, call or e-mail Mike Ruta with your responses and we will work together to make sure you have understood the course content and have passed the test. I can be reached by phone (740) 381-8156 or e-mail regionalepi@nls.net. |
| 5. Submit your test responses to FEMA via their website. The URL's for this can be found on the "Take the Final Tests Here" link on the NIMS training homepage. |
| 6. You will receive your certificate in the mail 1-2 weeks after submitting your answers to FEMA. A photocopy of this certificate must be given to the following person: Carroll County--> Mike Ruta, Columbiana County-->Mike Ruta, Tuscarawas County-->Judy Tornabene. This certificate will be added to your personnel file. |
| 7. If you have any questions please contact Mike Ruta using the contact information listed above. |
